One of the most valuable tips I can give you to help you grow your business success is acquiring a business accountability partner. Often these relationships result in an inseparable, long-lasting partnership, where both members feel they are each other’s biggest business assets.

I suggest you get one for yourself, either from within this group, or from outside of it. Read our suggestions for finding the right partner below. The main goal is to hold each other accountable for growing your business, and the details are unique to each partnership.

I was lucky to find the right person right away. This is not always the norm. Many people go through a few folks to find the right one; it is a little like dating. But those who find the right partnership believe it is worth the hunt. It is worth persevering.

Here are my Accountability Success Tips to Help You Find a Great Fit

  • You should be equally committed to adding value to the relationship. If one person is routinely giving more than the other, the relationship will fail.
  • Look for someone who has similar energy and ambitions to yourself.
  • Look for someone whose values are a match with yours.
  • If you have competitive businesses you will never be able to open up with each other. Running complimentary but different business is ideal. However, even if your businesses are unrelated, this relationship can still work.
  • You should meet regularly, at least once a week.
  • Give the relationship at least 3 months. If it is not working for both of you – give each other permission to try someone else.
  • Feel free to post your Accountability needs in the private Facebook group.
